I've just read all the Trudy books by Mary Alice Faid. These are overtly evangelical books, published by Pickering & Inglis, and surprisingly enjoyable. They certainly support traditional values and you might think would be 'right wing' Yet a couple of times Trudy fulminates against money being spent on weapons rather than on 'doing good', which to some people would suggest 'left wing'. Just shows the dangers of categorising people, religion or anything else.

Ann Dowker wote
Ann and Jane Taylor's "Hymns for Infant Minds",
though undoubtedly conservative in many ways, carried a strongly anti-war
message. Can anyone else think of other examples - perhaps including
some from other religions?
