Probably more so me, but I do know others spend a surprising (to me) amount of time on it. I posted the question because I have raised that I have issues with it a few times and no one's really seemed surprised that I am spending so much time on it. Perhaps I am thinking of it wrongly - I always thought Git was a kind of 'helper' tool that ran in the background. > I would say that you are still learning to use git.
