So after more investigation it turned out that the problem was something different - gtk-osx now uses `~/.config/jhbuild-custom` config file instead of the previously used `~/.jhbuild-custom` where the target architecture is stored which I didn't notice. After placing the configuration under the new path, the resulting binary works on older systems even when using the latest XCode and building under macOS 10.15.
I'm afraid the previous installer might not work on 10.13 and earlier so I created yet another release 1.37-3. Ping @miccal -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
