Review Comment:
   > I think you will want this handled for the "people running R/Python in 
Windows on a Surface" use case, who probably have no idea what architecture 
they're running
   
   Is the concern basically, they may have installed the amd64 driver while on 
an ARM processor (or vice versa) without realizing?
