This is great that the documentation of this design exists. However, it doesn't help whoever is working with the public API and experience inconsistency with whatever they think are stored in the array and what values/offsets methods report. Don't you think there should be at least some note in API documentation saying that "the array could be a slice of another array, in which case the method returns the original values/offsets"? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
