I think accoding to my reading of https://github.com/apache/parquet-format/blob/master/VariantEncoding.md#value-data-for-object-basic_type2, the field order can vary from objet to object so when comparing two variants for equality the field order should not be taken into account -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
