# Rationale for this change Keep datafusion up to date with arrow-rs (and selfishly I want to get the fix for https://github.com/apache/arrow-rs/pull/256 into my downstream project). I am working in parallel on a [proposed more frequent release strategy for arrow-rs](https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/r6b9baf59e3cd1a91905b5f802057026dfa627f00507638b605a3ff1b%40%3Cdev.arrow.apache.org%3E) but until we get consensus and implement that I plan to keep updating manually # What changes are included in this PR?
