It's been a long time but I've filed PRs to add the disable option and deal with backslashes in the third party Snowflake driver. I'll keep this issue to add the option to the spec; even if we've also proposed a newer metadata API I think it's fine to address major pain points with the existing one too. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
