Thanks, I think our goal should be reach a state where API features either work as advertised or removed. If it is almost ready, and the risk of breaking something else is low, let's finish that. If that opens up a Pandora box for which we don't have time right now, we can choose to remove the APIs. If you are open to finish the implementation, you are most welcome and that would be my preference since you have more context, feel free to use commits from https://github.com/apache/beam/pull/40603 if they are helpful or start from scratch as you see fit.
