#3059 fixed the per-batch file reopen and builder re-creation in `process_sorted_row_partition`, and batching the JNI calls across partitions didn't pay off. The rest is tracked in the later audits: the `RowPartition` boxing and copies in item 3 of #5198, and the serializer double copy in J4 of #5905.
