enough to accommodate all consumers. Using an `id` of sorts to track filters 
doesn't really solve it either. So I'd say let's not worry about it for now,

   Thanks for looking into this. That makes sense: the positional contract 
already exists for PushedDown, so I agree that solving it generally should not 
block #25760.
