## Which issue does this PR close? Refs #6425 and #6402. Backport of pending upstream #6455 (e989715); upstream has not merged. ## Rationale for this change Rescale decimal values correctly in generated dispatchers so DSv2 and nested decimal inputs produce correct results. ## What changes are included in this PR? Cherry-pick the three fix/test commits ee26712, 4cf7c1c and 04492d8. Exclude the source branch merge from main. Includes rescaling and overflow regression coverage. ## How are these changes tested? Fresh native build passed. JDK 17/default Spark 4.1: three CometCodegenSuite #6425 regressions and all 60 CometCodegenSourceSuite tests passed.
