Closing this as superseded by #25138, which addresses #25137 by removing the unsafe nested log/power identities and updates the core simplification tests. Retaining literal-base cancellation would still allow incorrect results from negative inputs or intermediate overflow/underflow, so I will not restore those rewrites while resolving the conflict.
