+1, we would use this. Version check: Comet main (DataFusion 55.1, Arrow 59.2) and vortex-datafusion 0.87 are on the same majors, so the native reader can go in without a DataFusion gap. We run TPC-H lineitem through DataFusion over both Parquet and Vortex, with clustered layouts, warm and cold, and check results across engines.
