Closing: since #7085 (c4a0b1f2b), a nested read under a name mapping falls back to Spark before this native path runs, so this no longer reproduces on main. #6790 tracks reading these natively, and the renamed `issue 5540` test in #7130 keeps this shape as a fallback check. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
