Hi @andygrove , I am interested in working on this issue, specifically on the map arm in `hash_funcs/utils.rs`. I haven't started on the code yet, so I wanted to check first that it's still open and that this would be welcome. @med9110 , I saw your earlier comment about taking the string/binary list hashing. Are you still planning to work on that? If so, I'm happy to do the map refactor as a seperate PR so we don't overlap, or to coordinate in whatever way works for you. if this sounds good, I'll read through the code and the existing murmur3/xxhash64 tests and follow the approach outlined in the issue.
