**Describe the bug** In running the instructions for verifying a release candidate I noticed that several additional dependencies were required! **To Reproduce** Run verification instructions **Expected behavior** I expected them to run **Additional context** Probably this is because `pyarrow` dropped numpy as a hard dependency (and perhaps some async functionality was added). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
