Thank you @tobixdev for finding the bug in the arrow-rs code. The fact that it wasn't checking for null values is a good find. For me at least knowing where the error is and waiting for the change to be applied upstream is sufficient, but I'm not sure on the general philosophy of the DataFusion project on outstanding bugs in dependencies.
