If you rely on the bulk of mainstream gaming press, then you're reading stories written by groups politically aligned against the organisation hosting the GIT material with you. This is why it's best to judge the material hosted on your site based on what it holds, not on what is being said about it. The TLDR version is: you seem to have misunderstood what the Twitter account advise was for. It is for users to avoid receiving abuse, not to assist them in delivering it.
