Disclosure: I'm a developer in the gaming industry and I've had to hide my identity with a fake email for the first time based on the reasons in your original post. I've never posted anywhere or talked about it anywhere when it's come to GamerGate, this will be my first time under a made up alias.
If you think GamerGate is about harassment; take one look at http://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/. We have enough mirrors at other places so you guys won't be getting much flak for doing this from us for much longer.
