Bradley has branched off the Beta2 RC in Mercurial (most bugs I can find have been fixed). I'll be making a source package along with a windows executable for testing tomorrow and upload it to Savannah. How do you want to announce the release? Front page wiki news might get the most testing, along with a mass PM (not the same as mass email) to all registered forum members?
If we get enough testing done (and beta2 networking has already been thoroughly tested by Leo, Bradley, Kyle and myself), then I don't think we should have any problem making the release official before FOSDEM.
