hi all, hi burkhard,

long time no hear.

Debian is preparing to switch to ffmpeg4, and the latest releases of
gmerlin-avdecoder and gmerlin-encoders (1.2.0; that was in 2012...)
cannot be build with ffmpeg4 anymore.

it seems that both libraries are still continually updated, and i'm
pretty confident that they can be built against ffmpeg4 (but haven't
tested yet, as they require an update of libgavl as well; and i'm still
cloning).

so my questions are:
- does the current trunk support ffmpeg4?
- how stable are the current gmerlin libraries?
- are there any plans to do a release in the near future?
- git?
