GMP programs which don't use the lon glong functions need not care. GMP program which use the long long functions will fail when compiled on a system which lacks long long. But then it will fail from various compilation errors long before linking with gmp.. It may get more confusing if you have a system with several compilers, where some, but not all, of the available compilers support long long. Are there such systems? On such a system, ideally gmp configure should emit a loud warning before using a compiler lacking long long. Regards, /Niels -- Niels Möller. PGP-encrypted email is preferred. Keyid C0B98E26.
