Hi, I am not sure, but some virus are now avaible on bios (confiker). The only solution seem to be like apple have efi or for pc uefi espacially gnufi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNUFI which is the free solution. But I am not sure that, at this time, uefi componment solution exist for laptop.
