Pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 brings you to a console (you can > switch > back with Ctrl+Alt+F7 or Ctrl+Alt+F8). Select keymap from arch list <--- I've tried this and the output was: "Looking for keymap to install: NONE" 2. Don't touch keymap 3. Keep kernel keymap 4. Select keymap from a full list <--- when I select this, I get to a long list and I'm not sure what to choose - I've tried pc/.../us-american/standard but when I switch back to the notebook with Ctrl+Alt+F7 then all was still chinese. So I did a reboot. But all is still in chinese and it seems to be the KDE-Desktop > P.S.: I don't know how correct this information [1] is, but it explains > something about quoting in Yahoo Mail.
