I've been running 8.0 since about a week after it came out, with no real
problems. Of course, I did a fresh install on a spare box, not an upgrade.

I haven't tried Redhat's upgrade option since Redhat 2.1, back around
1995 if I recall correctly. I had gotten the 2.1 CD at a GNHLUG meeting
at UNH, the night of Linus' talk, and I used it to upgrade a server that
was running Caldera Preview Release II. I believe the Caldera beta was
based on Redhat 2.0.

That upgrade essentially trashed the system, and I had to do a fresh
install on it to recover. Fortunately I had backed up the system right
before trying the upgrade.
