Hello, all. Yes, this is yet another boring "hello, I'm new to your group" message.
For many years, in the 20th century, I had been a "Windows" guy. Disgusted with Microsoft, I decided I wanted something different for the 21st century. So I switched to Linux and couldn't be happier. In fact, I feel like I'm "back home", in a way. Back in 1980, I wrote an OS when I was 18. It was pretty cool working at that low of a level. And now, even though I have yet to write my first driver for Linux, just the sheer power of being able to rebuild the kernel at will is sweet. So I opened up the 21st century the right way, I'd say. Linux all the way. Looking forward to meeting you all. I may be out to the meeting tomorrow if I can make it. We'll see. If not, then later.
