I haven't tried SuSE 10, but I got SuSE 9.3 Pro running on this Dell Latitude c400 laptop, a Dell Inspiron 2650, and an MSI K7D Master-L motherboard system. Each took a mere 300 hours to get working. (Just kidding.) I have been choosing SuSE because I like KDE. The desktop makes sense to me, and it runs all my business applications without a fuss. Since I use the Internet only for technical data retrieval and a bit of email, dialup has served just fine. However, one thing has thrown me twice now. SuSE activates fetchmail by default. If you like kppp and set it up, fetchmail keeps grabbing the modem and hiding a portion of your email from you! mutt finds the snatched email, so it isn't completely lost. There must be a better way (suggestions welcome), but I stop fetchmail by commenting out all URLs in /etc/fetchmailrc. That was the only problem I had with the installation of 9.3.
