I'm sure somebody will fire a warning shot my way for suggesting  
this, but what if you built something on a USB stick using colinux  
and Google Desktop and included a pre-configured VNC shortcut at the  
top level of the drive, with all the real bits in a BACKEND folder?

I've never attempted such a thing, just throwing it out there.
