Greetings I have a meeting ideas that I am interested in trying to "raise interest".
It is evident on the Internet, that there is a lot of interest in running Java on Linux. Some White Papers on the 'net even go so far as to suggest that "Java and Linux" is like a marriage made in heaven. Obviously, there is a growing interest in running Java and Linux on Handhelds, PDA's and other Appliances 1. Can we find someone who has experience with the Java - Linux connection on PDA's and Handhelds? Another far reaching idea (my choice of words) of interest is the notion of Virtual Machines (in reference to Linux). Jeff Dike has written some really interesting papers on User Mode Linux, that is, running Linux as a User Process on a Linux Boxen. Seems like that is an idea that would stretch your mind a little bit. That is, assuming that your interested in OS ideas, concepts, and new applications of Linux. This is an idea that we shall see more of, in the context of high performance Servers. 2. Any one available to take on the idea of some techie subject like Software Constructs for Virtual Machines (with Linux) or User Mode Linux? thanks in advance paulc
