Bruce Dawson said recently:

// they have to indicate a continued interest given that we can't afford to
// pay for a room.

In the past, other informal groups have charged a few Bucks at the door,
to pay the expense of the Meeting Room.

For example, GNSEG (Greater Nashua Software Entrepreneurs Group) have, in
the past,
charged $2 - $3, at the door, to pay for a Meeting Room at the Sheraton Tara
or
the Crowne Plaza.

Are we beyond "passing the Hat" or asking for a contribution at the door,
in order to stage a Meeting in a comfortable environment?
Seems like that is one less Beer ? (no blasphemy intended!)
