Actually, what I am looking to do is log into a Novell server (NetWare 4.1)
from a Linux box, and be able to have the Novell function. Basically, I need
to be able to cx to the top-level container and do an nlist of all of the
accounts in the sub-containers. I can do all of this from a Windoze box, but
I am lacking the functionality of cron. In the Windoze environment, I have
to log into the box, run the script, the lock the workstation. With Linux I
was hoping to set up a cron job to run the script, then parse the output
through a perl script, and scp the reports to the destination system (a
Solaris box). Anyone have any ideas?
TIA,
Kenny

slist is part of the standard IPX utilities package. The several
Novel 'emulators', aka, Novell server systems that can run under Linux, also
usually contains equivilent utilities to the standard DOS utils, such as
nlist
and slist. They are usually located on the SYS volume of the file server
being
served. I believe there is a way for dosemu to share the IPX interface,
etc,
and hence, allow you to map to a remote drive, and use the standard utils
under
FreeDos..
