I'm not bashing pump. Like everything, I think that the problems are on
a system-by-system basis. I'm running RH6.1 with pump on my firewall,
and I haven't had the slightest problem with it. On the otherhand, I set
up a firewall for my parents (the one that I was speaking about
earlier), and I had all sorts of problems that seemed to be related to
pump. It may not be the actual software package that is the problem. It
is most likely certain combinations of hardware, software, and quantum
events. Or is that how the dust puppy was born? ;-)
