Hi -
I have an RH6 derivative running on a dual P-III XEON 550 in my
office. No worries on both 2.2.x and 2.3.x kernels. There is a
nearby company that's running a Linux/MOSIX cluster on 24 systems with
4 * P-III/Xeon 550 each. It rips, no worries.
We sell a lot of Xeon boxes (VARserver 3500/Intel "Cabrillo") as
database servers running Linux. So does SGI.
Tell your choice of kernel configurator that you have a 6x86 and it'll
compile in the appropriate optimizations.
