  You do not say if the printers in question are attached to a Unix print
server, or if they attached to the network with some sort of embedded print
server (e.g., HP JetDirect).

  If the printers are attached to a Unix print server:

  Do you have the hosts you want to print from listed in the /etc/hosts.lpd or
/etc/hosts.equiv files on the Unix print server?  (See "man lpd" for details.)

  If that does not solve your problem, run "netstat -ltun" on the Unix print
server and post the output.

  If the printers are attached to an HP JetDirect box:

  Telnet to the IP address of the print server, and post the output of the "/"
command.

  If the printers are attached to some other kind of embedded print server:

  What brand(s) and model(s)?
