True, but supposedly Linux has surpassed Mac as a desktop platform, and they 
have both Mac-based clients and development tools.

Based on recent news regarding the Gnome/KDE foundations, the work by 
Helix-Code and Eazel, if I were dealing with desktop apps, I'd make sure I 
supported both Windows and Linux at this point!  But I'm biased, so maybe 
that's meaningless :)
