People apparently like writing GNOME apps in C#. GNOME wants to have good apps, and many apps are written in C# these days. So GNOME ends up with C# apps. > The main beauty of GNOME is that it is slick and unbloated. No, that's XFCE. GNOME is "Simply Powerful" (according to gnome.org). > If we really want to develop code in object oriented language, with all > the fancy syntactic sugar, garbage collection etc. > can't we just use D to achieve it? http://www.digitalmars.com/d/ If people want there to be D apps in GNOME, they should write D GNOME apps. But it seems like no one actually writes any code in D; the people who advocate D write their own code in C, they just want all the C#/Java/Haskell/whatever programmers to switch to D. -- Dan _______________________________________________ gnome-devel-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-devel-list
