True. I don't know why I find the idea of having the terminal built into to the panel/dock so fascinating. When I have the terminal window open I have to remember in what workspace it is are and I always close them if I'm not using them even thought I'm going to need them anyway, so I guess the idea of having the shell built in appeals to me because then I would know that it's always there just the way I left it. This is in a way reminiscent of the KDE file manager, Dolphin. It has a built in terminal (http://dolphin.kde.org/images/all_features.png), and it might be argued "why not just open a new terminal window" but it is surprisingly helpful having a terminal at the bottom of your file manager.
