I have a dream that one day this group will follow through the important discussions with adopting a proposed compromise at the end instead of silence and disregard for effort concerning reaching a real and viable consensus. - You say I'm pretty naive? Yeah, it's like that, anyway... Sorry, but I really think this should have been discussed before introducing msgctxt into yet another module (that is evolution, GIMP, and counting...). I wonder whether the ordinary translation (developer) comment would had been possible to implement instead of msgctxt (at least for the time being). For now, I think so. Please correct me if I'm wrong. > For those using poedit, double-check your po file with > a text editor if you really want to distinguish the two "Logout" and > "Desktop" strings. Thanks for caring, but note that the vast majority of translators most likely don't follow this discussion or don't subscribe to gnome-i18n. So they're turned adrift, so to speak. Moreover, it's pretty sad. Regards, Petr Kovar _______________________________________________ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
