Hi Milo. The GNOME translation workflow expects the translator's contribution to be proofread by someone before it is committed to the source code. The idea behind this is to achieve a better quality translation. Your contribution is taking too long to land the source code because no one proofread your translation yet, and ideally it should not take so long.
Did you ever talk with your team's coordinator about this? You could, for example, be promoted to committer (so you can send the translations to the source code), if he/she chooses to do so.
