The shadows look great, dark grey gets my vote. I like the idea of decorationless windows in overview mode with rounded corners a la Palm Pre's cards, but I think you have made the lower section too complicated.
There is something visceral about the zoom overview that is lost with sliders and workspace switchers and buttons. The gmail-style Undo at the top is cute, Aza Raskin remarked in a presentation how much better this was than OS dialogue boxes.
