I've also noted that installing ekiga from the repository indicated in the first mail went installed also the following packages: * ekiga [version 2.0.1-2.etch.5500] * libcommoncpp2-doc [version 1.3.25-3.etch.1500] * ser-acc-db-module [version 0.9.6-0.etch.1371] * libpt-plugins-v4l2 [version 1.10.0-1.etch.1404] * libpt-plugins-dc [version 1.10.0-1.etch.1404] * libpt-plugins-avc [version 1.10.0-1.etch.1404] * libopal-dbg [version 2.2.1-1.etch.1484] * ser-jabber-module [version 0.9.6-0.etch.1371] * libpt-plugins-v4l [version 1.10.0-1.etch.1404] * libpt-plugins-oss [version 1.10.0-1.etch.1404] * simpleopal [version 2.2.1-1.etch.1484] * ser [version 0.9.6-0.etch.1371] * rtpproxy [version 0.3-1.etch.1435] * libpt-plugins-alsa [version 1.10.0-1.etch.1404] * libopal-2.2.0 [version 2.2.1-1.etch.1484] * libpri1.2 [version 1.2.2-2.etch.1369] And I've noted that I have two new services started on startup: "ser" and "rtpproxy". Do I need them? What are they? Disabling these services I don't get the error message on ekiga startup anymore, but I can't even make any sip call. Please help me, I have to do some intercontinental calls this week and I don't want to use skype.
