   So by '<user-name>', you mean something like 
   '[EMAIL PROTECTED]/tla--devo--2.0--patch-5', not 'tlord' or '[EMAIL 
PROTECTED]', 
   right?  (And then we can relax the restrictions on the non-checksum part.)

Right.  It's a user's name for a revision, not the user's own name.
