I think I'm the one who added that entry. I have no references to give
you off the top of my head (maybe this email message :) beyond
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luxi_(fonts), but the non-free-ness of
Lucida is a fact. I talk with Chuck Bigelow a lot, and no legally
distributed Lucida fonts have ever permitted modification by anyone.
I'm sure this restriction was reflected in the actual documents
accompanying B&H's donation of luximono (et al.) bitmaps to the X
consortium decades ago, but perhaps it got lost somewhere along the line
since then, I can't say.
