The same way you enforce against anybody going out of business or dying:
putting your claim to the successor in interest.  If there is none,
tough.

Not particularly GPL-related.  You better request your source code
timely if you want to be on the safe side.  Easier with the GPL than
otherwise (typical source code escrow schemes for proprietary code tend
to be pretty complex and expensive in contrast).
