Actually, I haven't tried pl 79 yet but here's a problem
I noticed in pl 78. The dot placement in the following
example is really strange:
\meter 3/2;
<c'1. e g c>

I just began my vacation, so I won't interfer with the
Lilypond development for a couple of weeks. Happy hacking.
