Well actually --no-plets now that I have tried (remember I am still on 1.2.0).
And it changes the 19/32 into a 19/24 of a different note, but amounting to the
same in the end and the 5/8 (it was not 11/32, my imagination and lengths were not
the ones quoted, but that was illustrative enough) into 5/6 besides all skips stay
there.
I guess the problem is that midi2ly does not count on the fact that released notes
continue to sound for a while, so for some instruments what looks like a skip is
still part of a full note, unfortunately I have no answer to that one.
