When an note with an accidental is tied over the bar line, and then
the a note of the same pitch as the tied one occurs in the new bar, I
think it's common practice to repeat the accidental. Lily .84 doesn't
do this:

      [df8()ef] [df( cf )af] cf4 af~ |
      af ef'([)ef8()df] [cf( af )cf]

The final 'af' should have a flat sign in front of it, but it
doesn't.

Also, how are the directions of ties decided? It seems a bit
random. It looks better to me if the tie always arches upwards, but
lily frequently gives downward arches.
