This RPm installed just fine on Mandrake 7.2:

   ]$ ly2dvi example-1.ly
ly2dvi (GNU lilypond) 1.3.72
executing: lilypond example-1.ly 2>&1
lilypond: Symbol `__vt_3ios' has different size in shared object,

lilypond: error in loading shared libraries: lilypond: undefined symbol:

efault_alloc_template2b1i0.free_list
ly2dvi: Lilypond failed: lilypond example-1.ly 2>&1

rpm -tb lilypond-1.3.119.tar.gz failed to produce a binary (make error
127).

If it isn't too old libstdc++ it's too new guile version.

How could anyone consider that RedHat did something stupid? It seems to
me to be a very clever way of causing more people to use RedHat. At
least if they want to run lilypond. :-)

I didn't see lilypond in the latest debian distribution file list. :-(
