Well, GNU 0.2 and Hurd 0.2 were released some ten years ago. The Hurd reports 0.3 as it's version number for a long time; just nobody cared to actually make the release...
I think many people care, just that making a proper release is a big task if we want something that can be compared to any of the many GNU/Linux systems out there. That is why we are here, right?
